It all begins with an opportunity.

Hence, with a dash of luck and people

I am a digital transformation strategist who brings 15+ years of experience in designing and deploying digital solutions with achievements in both the public and private sector, and in academia

My expertise and main interests comprise the analysis of operating models to identify opportunities for change and innovation; the design of technology solutions that support organizational aims and customers’ delight; and the focused implementation of these solutions in collaboration with cross-skilled and blended teams in innovative environments

My qualifications include an MSc and a PhD in computer science, and I continuously expand my knowledge of emerging technologies, business best practices and customer-centered design

But how did I get here?

It all began when I was a young girl … with a strong and inspirational family – especially my mom’s empowerment and my Zia’s gnocchi, the construction site (cantieri) visits with my Zio, his technical drawings and paintings, the adventures with my cousins…

… and when I was around 10 years …

an out-of-the-blue opportunity to begin my own digital transformation journey

The Luck.

A spare clunky computer, some floppy discs, a squeaky printer-piece-of-furniture, and screwdrivers

The People.

My neighbor - a hippie-spirited young to-be dentist at that time, who gave me the hardware 2nd hand

The Lab.

My flower-wallpaper kid’s room in a working-class neighborhood in Zurich@CH

The Passion.

The powerful curiosity and playfulness of a young girl of about 10 years (mini me)

followed by more opportunities

A biology teacher.

Who encouraged me in Highschool to go to University and showed me that I had a choice

A politician.

Who ‘allowed’ me to attend the technical drawing class (boys only, until then) in 7th + 8th grade

A busy professor.

Who took the time to read that email, discuss my ideas and give them a chance

A coffee shop visit.

Which inspired my to write and send a spontaneous email which later led to my PhD position

10 wallpaper-less apartments and several seized opportunities later
